I'm so glad you're here, Reader!
Are you going through a case of the Winter Blah's? Good thing that groundhog saw his shadow... that means Spring is almost here!
Whether it is the cold weather, gray skies, or yet another round of sinus congestion, Winter can play havoc with our health, mood and energy levels.
As a leader, you may find it more difficult lately to handle your own family's mood changes, let alone those of everyone at work, Reader. Remind yourself to take a few more deep breaths before reacting or replying. Prioritizing self care may be in order, too.
I often found that if I shared what I was experiencing with my team, more often than not, they were also dealing with similar life curveballs. So if you find an article or video that resonates with you, share it with your team.
See a great article about wellness? Find a work-friendly meme about getting sick, yet again? Discover a video talking about self-care or SAD (seasonal affective disorder)? Share it with your team and let the resulting conversations lighten the mood and bring the team closer together in camaraderie.
It's good for the team to remember you are also human. If you can connect with them in small, meaningful moments like this, it opens the door for more authentic conversations and relationships to be created.
It is the small things that bring a team together. Try it and let me know your experience, Reader!

Welcome Back, Reader Reflection - Gratitude & Letting Go 2024 isn't over yet! Let's not rush the end of the year - time flies ⏱️🚀 fast enough already, Reader. In the last newsletter, we discussed slowing down... so while your calendar is full of social events for the holidays, I hope that you find moments - however small - to stop, to breathe, to just be. 🧘 As we countdown to the beginning of 2025, let us take a moment to reflect 🪞 on 2024. Reflect with gratitude on the good fortunes that...
Welcome Back, Reader Do You Know How to... Just Be? As the weather turns colder, and the nights are longer, this time of year encourages us to slow down. Yet, it can feel so foreign to slow down... Especially here in the U.S. where the focus is all about doing more, faster. As a result, we face all the health consequences that come with the "more" mentality. Do yourself a favor... Stop for just a moment RIGHT NOW. First, smile. Then take a deep breath... slowly inhale, holding your breath for...
Welcome Back, Reader November is Stress Awareness Month Indeed's US Well-Being Annual Report defined 4 key indicators to measure employee well-being: happiness, purpose, stress, & satisfaction.
